How do I redeem my Bookshop.org gift card?

To redeem your Bookshop.org gift card, please follow the steps below. If you're having trouble redeeming your gift card, please contact us and we will help!

Step 1: Create a Bookshop.org account. If you do not already have an account, you must create once to redeem your gift card. You can create an account here: https://bookshop.org/signup

Step 2: Redeem your gift card. Redeeming your gift card creates a store credit in your Bookshop.org account that will never expire. After redeeming the code, the gift card code becomes invalid. You will not need to enter the code again.

Go to https://bookshop.org/gift_cards and scroll down to the section that reads "Already have a gift card?"

Enter your code and click "REDEEM." (If you are not already logged in, you will be prompted to log in or create an account after entering the code.)

Step 3: Shop on Bookshop.org while logged in.

Step 4: When done shopping, begin Checkout. Your gift card credit will automatically apply to your order, however you have the option to remove it if you'd rather save it for a future order.

Step 5: If you decide to remove your gift card credit from your order the Payment section of the checkout will become unfolded with the gift card box unchecked (see below). You'll just need to confirm the credit card saved to your user account, or, you'll have to input a new credit card for payment. Click "Confirm Payment Method" and place your order!
