How do I redeem my Bookshop.org gift card?

The redemption of a Bookshop.org gift card is a multi-step process. Each step must be completed in the exact order described below:

Step 1: Create a Bookshop.org account. If you do not already have one, you must create a Bookshop.org account. You can create an account here: https://bookshop.org/signup

Step 2: Redeem your gift card into to Bookshop.org account. Please note that this redemption turns your gift card into Store Credit in your Bookshop.org account. Also, redeeming your card makes the redemption code invalid afterward. You do not ever enter this code again.

To redeem your Bookshop.org gift card, please go to https://bookshop.org/gift_cards and scroll down to the section that reads "Already have a gift card?"

Enter your code and click "REDEEM." (If you are not already logged in, the system will prompt you to log in or create an account at this point.)

Once you click "REDEEM" you should be redirected to your Bookshop account page where you will see the following message:

Step 3: Log into your Bookshop.org account and begin shopping while logged in.

Step 4: When done shopping, begin Checkout. Your gift card credit will automatically apply to your order, however you have the option to remove it if you'd rather save it for a future order.

Step 5: If you decide to remove your gift card credit from your order the Payment section of the checkout will become unfolded with the gift card box unchecked (see below). You'll just need to confirm the credit card saved to your user account, or, you'll have to input a new credit card for payment. Click "Confirm Payment Method" and place your order!
